Values and vision
Tytherington School is an ambitious school at the heart of the community, which constantly strives to improve everything it does. Its mission is to provide all students with a high quality education that encourages them to be articulate, resilient, courageous, curious and have the confidence to stand up for what they believe in.
The school takes pride in its calm and supportive environment, which is characterised by respectful relationships between the teachers and students. There is a very clear focus on delivering high academic standards for all students. The school encourages all students to strive to fulfil their potential wherever their interests or talents may lie.
“The quality of teaching is good in all key stages. Leaders across the school are becoming highly skilled in measuring the impact of teaching on pupils’ progress. Consequently, pupils are now beginning to make even more progress. Careers information, advice and guidance is a significant strength. The new headteacher continues to raise expectations for disadvantaged pupils across the school.”
