Wybers Wood Academy

Wybers Wood is an inclusive, caring primary with just over 400 pupils on roll. We take great pride in creating a warm and friendly environment and a positive culture for learning so that our children have opportunities to excel. We place great emphasis on the social and emotional development of our pupils, alongside the encouragement of a love for learning so they can reach their full potential academically and achieve things that they never thought possible. 

Our staff team are caring, dedicated and experienced. They want to achieve the very best for all children: educationally, morally, spiritually and physically. We expect the children to be well behaved, respectful, have good manners and have an excellent attitude to work. We expect them to shine and encourage them to excel! 

Wybers is proud to hold the Gold Sportsmark and a Silver Artsmark. Our pupils excel in sports and are confident and articulate performers as a result of our broad curriculum which has a strong emphasis on health, oracy and confidence.

The school is a great place to work due to the hard work and dedication of all staff and the excellent attitudes the children have to their learning. There is a strong commitment to teamwork and a real sense of community spirit at Wybers Wood Academy. Everyone is warmly welcomed into the team. 

We also have a spacious, bright learning environment and some great facilities. It is exciting to be part of a family of primary schools in Grimsby who are all part of Delta Academies Trust. Together we have a culture of professional learning, reflection and collaboration to provide training and development opportunities for staff and to bring about sustainable improvements for all our children.
