Location: High Street, Plymouth, PL1 3SJ and 22 Millbay Road, Millbay, Plymouth PL1 3EG

FTE Salary: NJC Grade A, £20,441 per annum, pro-rata

Actual Annual Salary: £6,119 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent, part time; term-time only (39 weeks per year)

Contract Hours: 12.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday

About the role

We are seeking to appoint a new member of staff to join our Midday Assistant Team, to work across all year groups at both High Street Primary Academy and Millbay Academy. As a Trust, we endeavour to making lunchtimes a happy and safe environment.

About the successful candidate

You will need:

  • Understanding the needs of children
  • Understanding of Health and Safety issues and the issues surrounding the safety of children
  • Basic knowledge of first-aid
  • Oral communication skills required to exchange straightforward information with colleagues and pupils.

Our vision is clear: every child matters, every day. We ensure our school allows every child to achieve their full potential - we work tirelessly and collaboratively as a High Street team to offer all children the opportunity to meet their aspirations beyond expectations.

High Street is a small community school with approximately 120 children on roll from age two to age eleven. We work with external agencies and all stakeholders to ensure we offer our community the support and commitment they deserve. We have a wonderful team of teaching and non-teaching staff and we pride ourselves on the caring relationships we have built between all of the members of our ‘school family’.

About the Trust

Reach South is a young and developing Trust which operates across the South West of England with the aim of delivering all through 3-19 education.  We operate 15 academies in Plymouth, Bournemouth, Dorset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.  We are building this Trust on a clear set of values, behaviours and curriculum principles.
