To help us with this mission, Empower Learning Academy Trust is seeking to recruit a small group of exceptional, dynamic secondary ‘Super Teachers’ as part of its central Academy Effectiveness Team. Working closely with the Director of Academy Improvement, you will be prepared to be placed at any one of our 3 secondary academies for a fixed period, with the expectation of being an exemplary teacher in all that you do.

Our ‘Super Teachers’ will be employed centrally by the Trust. You will be ready, willing and able to:

·        Stretch our brightest students.

·        Support our weakest students.

·        Inspire our most disadvantaged students.

·        Nurture our most vulnerable students.

In recognition of the required flexibility of the role and the demands of delivering exemplary teaching and great outcomes, the role will attract a TLR of £10,000 p/a. You will receive a small additional amount of non-contact time also. You will not be expected to line manage anyone, but you will be expected to share resources, support subject level planning, lead and support some CPD, coach colleagues and mentor ECTS and/or trainees. In short: Teach; Model; Coach.

The successful candidates will have a minimum of 3 years teaching experience and a proven track record of positive outcomes for their students. ‘Super Teachers’ who stay with the team for 2 full years will receive a retention payment thereafter and another after 4 years.

Initially, we are seeking suitable candidates in English, Maths and Science.
