About the role:
I have been asked by a school in the Heanor area to find a qualified teacher who is looking for a part time role doing PPA cover on a Monday and Thursday afternoon for their key stage 2 classes. The SLT have said that a good PPA cover teacher will be someone with experience in either supply work or a similar part time role such as a job share, as they will be used to working in different classes each week.
The school is located in the Heanor area of Derbyshire and is looking to take on a few new members of staff including an NQT in September, which is why they need assistance with the PPA cover as the new staff will need time to get settled in. As the school is in Heanor it means it is accessible for people across the north of Derbyshire as well as Derby city.
The position is listed as only lasting until December, however the school have stated that if the candidate is successful and gets on well with both the classes and colleagues then the role may be extended until the end of the academic year.

To register with us, all candidates will be required to attend a face to face interview, hold an enhanced DBS check in Child Workforce on the Update Service and also gain references to cover the last 2 years. Please note that all teachers must hold valid QTS. For any Teaching Assistant roles you must hold an NVQ Level 2 or above, a relevant educational degree or a minimum of 3 months relevant experience within a UK school in the last 5 years.
