A school in Belper is currently looking for teaching assistant to help them out in year 3, with a particular focus on children who demonstrate challenging behaviour. The job is on a 0.6 basis with 2 full days and 2 half days each week, with time shared equally amongst both year 3 classes. 

The school is ideal for anyone who lives in Derby city, and also easily accessible for those who live in Ripley or Ilkeston. As the role is not 5 days per week it means that any candidate can either still work a part time job elsewhere or abc teachers can provide you with extra days per week on day to day supply. The school have also said that on some occasions the candidate may be asked to work for an extra day in the week, in order to assist in covering PPA time or any school trips.

Due to the nature of the work being long term supply, the job is currently only listed as from September to November. However, this is likely to change closer to the date as the candidate may be either taken on full time by the school, or should expect to see their contract extended. The school are planning on holding interview days either before the summer or before they start in September.

Please note that all teachers must hold valid QTS. For any Teaching Assistant roles you must hold an NVQ Level 2 or above, a relevant educational degree or a minimum of 3 months relevant experience within a UK school in the last 5 years.
