West Lodge School in Sidcup is looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant to work with two children who require immediate 1:1 support.
This is a split role with 1:1 support required for a boy in Year 6 who has an Autistc Spectum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis and another child in Year 3 who benefits from academic support and his own personalised programme.
Experience of working with children with ASD is a requirement, experience dealing with of anxiety disorder is desirable. Whilst this expertise is highly preferable, having a calm and flexible nature is key. You will work alongside the class teacher and SENDCo in planning and delivering personalised programmes to these two boys.
This is a fixed-term contract and would suit one person looking to work full-time from 8.15 am – 3.45pm at a rate of £10.88 per hour. However, the role could also be suitable for a job share with two part-time appointments, each working with the individual children in the morning or afternoon.
