1:1 Teaching Assistant - Fixed Term for 1 Year
The Tollbar Multi Academy Trust is seeking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work with a child who will be entering Somercotes Academy. This role is to support a child with a profound hearing impairment (with cochlear implants) within the classroom environment on a 1:1 basis. This is a fixed term appointment for one year, linked to specific funding.
In particular, we are looking for someone with knowledge of BSL at Level 2 or above, or interest in learning, with the aim to complete Level 1 before the September 2021 start date, then work towards Level 2. Experience as a Teaching Assistant is preferred, but in-house training will be provided. Candidates must have a minimum of GCSE Grade C or equivalent in Mathematics and English.
