Byrchall High School Converter Academy is an 11-16 co-educational comprehensive school of ca. 900 pupils with a ‘Good’ grading from OFSTED. The English department celebrated one of its most successful years to date with 81% of students achieving Grade 4 and above in the subject.
The school is seeking to appoint a highly-organised, creative and dynamic practitioner to join our successful and thriving English department.
We are looking for a talented teacher with some experience of management in schools, or a similar environment, to make a genuine difference to the students they teach and the practitioners they manage.
The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with teachers is essential as our department offers a significant amount of extra-curricular activities and revision sessions, and much of this is done on the good will of the teaching team.
You will be responsible for the day to day operation of the department and you will be fully supported in your professional development to be an outstanding Second in Department.
