The Academy at Shotton Hall is a fully comprehensive Academy in Peterlee which provides a vibrant and stimulating environment for 11 – 16 year olds. In our most recent Ofsted inspection we were judged to be 'Outstanding' - the highest accolade a school can achieve.
Our school which opened (with much excitement) in January 2011 is a fantastic environment for children to learn in, offering them state-of-the-art equipment and facilities to enhance their education.
Our motto is ‘Achievement through Partnership’ where education is seen as a partnership between school, home and the community and where we aim to bring out the best in every child together.
