Academic Skills Coach – Science & Numeracy-based skills

Start Date: 1st September 2022

Fixed Term until 1 July 2023

Part time: 32.5 hours per week

Working time: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm

Salary Grade: Support Staff Spine Point 6-8 £19,719 - £20,771 per annum (Actual salary £14,782.45 - £15,571.09)


We are seeking a highly motivated individual to provide one to one or small group sessions to support improvement in students’ academic knowledge and understanding relating to science and numeracy-based skills. The ideal candidate will help students develop their study techniques and work with Heads of Departments to ensure students develop positive learning behaviours, whilst also supervising the Learning Resource Centre.

The College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
