Academy Business Manager (non-teaching role)

Lord Lawson of Beamish AcademyGateshead

Thank you for your interest in the post of Academy Business Manager at Lord Lawson of Beamish Academy.

The post of Academy Business Manager is a vital one for us, bringing together the three areas of human resources, finance and estates.  Lord Lawson is a stand-alone academy, so we have considerable freedom to set and control our own budgets, and to use the funding we receive in the best interests of our students.

As Business Manager, you will join a strong senior team, focused on giving clear direction and continually improving the academy.  You will also benefit from working with a support team made up of individuals who are exceptionally highly motivated, able and hard-working, and who truly work together as one team.

Our school vision is that ‘together we grow, learn and succeed’, and this is as true for our staff as it is for our students.

This position provides a career-defining opportunity for the right person. You are likely to be a decisive and committed individual, already successful in managing aspects of staffing and finance.  You may already have business management experience at a smaller school, or you may have worked in similar areas of  responsibility outside the educational sector.

If on review of the person and job specification for this position you feel this is the right role for you, but would like to discuss the opportunities this post offers, or to have a broader conversation, please feel to contact Mr Fowler - Principal - on 07936 364421,  or at school on 0191 433 4026.  Alternatively, you would be very welcome to visit for an appropriately socially distanced tour of the school.

The closing date for applications for this position us Monday 19 April 2021, 9:00am.  Applications should be submitted via TES or direct to the academy at:  recruitment@lordlawson.academy.

The appointment process will take place on Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 April 2021.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Lord Lawson of Beamish Academy is an equal opportunities employer.  We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
