We are looking for an exceptional leader to drive improvement  within our science department. Commencing in January 2019, this role will be central to the academy’s  continued improvement under the Dixons Academies Trust and provides a chance  for candidates with ambition, drive and determination to be a part of  transforming the lives of our community. 

The right candidate

The right candidate will have a passion for teaching science  and for improving the life chances and aspirations of our students. All candidates must demonstrate the potential  for complete dedication to the academy's values, mission and principles. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity  to join a forward-thinking Multi-Academy Trust with a moral drive to make a  difference to the lives of young people. 

The successful applicant will:

  • improve teaching and learning in Science
  •  plan, implement and review the department  curriculum
  • support and challenge staff effectively within  the department
  • be an effective middle leader, contributing  positively to the development of the academy
  • demonstrate commitment to developing the academy  as part of the wider community

Dixons Cottingley Academy joined Dixons Academies Trust 1 July 2018.
