At Derby Moor Spencer Academy, we take great pride in the facilities that we offer our students.  Our school was re-built in 2013 and now features a welcoming entrance plaza, state of the art technology and a diverse range of learning spaces and sports facilities.

We are seeking to appoint an individual who:  

  • To be responsible for the welfare and behaviour of identified students, promoting positive student attitudes and behaviour in and around school and mutual respect for members of the school community. 
  • To coordinate support and intervention to promote identified students’ attainment, achievement, attendance and well-being. 
  • To work as part of a team to promote and support whole school policies including raising attainment, behaviour, rewards, attendance and punctuality. 
  • To promote positive relations and ensure excellent communication across the school community and with external agencies. 
  • To work with the inclusion team of the school. 
  • To guide students to reflect on the progress they have made and their emerging needs. 
  • To maintain records detailing and spending of PP funds.  
  • To encourage students to take a responsible and conscientious attitude to their own work and study.  
  • To know and understand how to assess the relevant subject and curriculum areas, including statutory assessment requirements. 
  • To use relevant data to monitor progress, set targets, and support students in planning their learning. 
  • To regularly liaise with parents of identified students. 
  • To support students in attending catch- up, revision and intervention provision. 
  • To monitor attendance and support students in raising their attendance. 
  • To liaise with academy staff regarding individuals’ progress, attendance, Wellbeing and behaviour.
