Notre Dame College is a Catholic, co-educational secondary College located in Shepparton, Victoria. The school has a population of approximately 1,700 students from Years 7-12 and 140 teaching staff.

The College was established in 1984 with the amalgamation of Sacred Heart College for Girls and St Colman’s College for boys. In 2009, a second Campus called Emmaus was opened for the use of Year 9 students and students from the McAuley Champagnat Programme, an innovative educational programme designed to meet the educational needs of disengaged students in the Greater Shepparton Region.

Facilities

Notre Dame College has extensive facilities on its nine-acre site located on Knight St including an Educational Resource Centre, Marist Technology Centre, Brother Ray Martin Hospitality Centre and Mercy Centennial Stadium, used for sporting and other whole-school events. There are two school halls for performances, assemblies and social events, a learning support centre and a careers centre. The Emmaus Campus is situated eight kilometres north of Shepparton on 48 acres. The site is rich in technology and learning is enhanced by purpose-built spaces for team teaching, group work and individual learning.

Curriculum

At Notre Dame College teachers prepare learning programs within the Victorian Curriculum framework, which adheres to the Australian Curriculum. The College provides “a broadly based and innovative curriculum which aims to develop the intellectual, physical, aesthetic, spiritual and social aspects of every student.”
