Christ the King is a highly successful and heavily oversubscribed Catholic sixth form college located on three sites in south east London. We specialise in meeting the needs of sixth form students, and have an established track record of excellent examinations success. We have Category A financial status and have been recognised by Ofsted as delivering high quality of provision.
The College has outstanding additional learning Support provision, and students feel extremely well supported. We are looking to appoint an Additional Learning Support Manager at our Emmanuel site. You must possess a recognised specialist qualification in this area and have experience of working with students who have learning difficulties / disabilities. You will also have an understanding of the current legislative issues surrounding SEND and provision of support for High Needs Students. The role will involve managing a small team of Additional Learning Support Assistants.

Mentoring

Staff Study Bursaries
We award a number of bursaries to both teaching and support staff each year to assist with course fees for master’s degrees or further study.
Staff Research Bursaries
We have developed our own research programmes to inform and contribute to our understanding of how teaching and learning can be improved. You can undertake a small-scale action research project to reflect on teaching practice bringing evidence-informed best practice pedagogy to the classroom and to our work.
Subject Networks
Working with colleagues across our sixth forms strengthens the professional communication between teachers across our three sites. We currently have some 15 networks attended by over 150 staff.
All Staff Conferences
We run an annual conference for all staff each year, with contributions from guest speakers of national and international prowess.
