We are a Humanities Specialist College which became an all through school in September 2012. We achieved IIP Gold in December 2013. At Waverley we try to create an environment which allows everyone to develop mutual respect for each other and a respect for learning. 

This is an exciting time to join Waverley Education Foundation Trust. We have landmark buildings that provide everyone with state of the art facilities for learning, teaching and training. 

We are looking for a highly motivated and committed individual to join our team as an Administration Assistant to cover maternity leave for up to 1 year. 

You will be responsible for dealing all aspects of administration for our Primary Team at Waverley School. The ideal candidate will need to be confident and able to communicate effectively with visitors, staff, pupils and other external agencies in a professional and courteous manner. Experience of using Microsoft Office especially word, excel and outlook is essential and it would be helpful if you have used CMIS and E-Portal. You will need to have excellent administration skills and have the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team. Previous experience of working in a school would be very beneficial, but not essential. Applicants must have a good customer service ethic, be flexible in their approach to work and ensure school protocols are adhered to at all times.

All applicants must be numerate and literate and educated to GCSE standard with an A* - C in English.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.

The successful candidate will need to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Waverley School is a co-educational, all-through school located in Birmingham, West Midlands. It has around 1800 pupils across its primary, secondary and sixth-form departments. The school is part of the Waverley Education Foundation, a multi-academy trust that also operates the local Waverley Studio College.

Waverley School became an all-through school in 2012 and moved to a new site in 2013. It is proud of its diverse student intake.
