Description As a member of the Leadership Team, the Administration and Accreditation Coordinator has responsibility for a diverse range of administrative tasks that ensure the smooth and professional operation of the College. The Administration and Accreditation Coordinator:
• Implements structures and procedures that are conducive to the efficient daily functioning of the College.
• Is responsible for the overall management of casual staff and arranging replacement of absent staff.
• Maintains effective records of staff absence and replacement in consultation with the Principal’s Executive Assistant.
• Ensures that staff are informed of all events, variations to routine and staff movements via daily electronic notices.
• Maintains a good working knowledge of the School’s key management systems including Compass and Edval.
• Assists in developing the school timetable, including the construction of elective lines and allocation of teaching duties in consultation with the Assistant Principal and Principal.
• Liaises with College Cleaning and maintenance staff to ensure the plant and buildings are maintained in good operational and functional order
• Liaises with staff for administrative support of special events including camps, liturgies, Award evenings, parent teacher interviews.
• Is an active member of the WHS Committee.
• Implements structures and processes to ensure all requirements of College staff Professional Learning Plans comply with the Maitland Newcastle CSO Professional Practice & Development (PP & D) Policy & Procedure.
• Oversees the implementation and evaluation of all requirements for accreditation by NESA of Graduate, Proficient, Highly Accomplished and Lead Teachers with respect to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
• Other appropriate duties as required by the Principal. St Bede’s currently provides a Catholic education for Year 7 & 8 students. The College will be growing by one cohort per year and will eventually cater for approximately 1,000 Year 7 -12 students by 2023. With an emphasis on contemporary learning within a mix of closed and open learning spaces, this position will require a dynamic and flexible educator who has the capacity to innovate, collaborate and engage with all stakeholders.
Position Requirements • An understanding of and a clear commitment to the philosophy and objectives of Catholic education
• High level of organisation and communication
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team
• High level of technological understanding of systems such as Compass and/or Edval
• A high level of proficiency as a classroom teacher.
Essential Criteria Applicant must:
• be appropriately qualified as a four-year trained secondary teacher
• record current NESA and Working with Children number on application.
• evidence of completion of Anaphylaxis training certificate must be supplied. (https://etraining.allergy.org.au/login/index.php)
• applicants will need to comply with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead (formerly FEA) and will need to work towards Accreditation at Category C– Accreditation for Leadership. Note: To start or return to working as a teacher in an NSW school, you must be accredited by NESA.

Conditions of EmploymentThe position attracts an allowance at the level of Coordinator 2. Initial appointment will be for two years, renewable for a further four years subject to a satisfactory performance review.
