Our school has been judged an "good" by OFSTED and the Religious Education "outstanding" by Salford Diocese. We believe we offer a genuinely warm and friendly welcome to all. Staff and pupils demonstrate a high level of respect, care and service to others.

At the heart of our mission is the quality of relationships which builds confidence and security with a strong sense of teamwork and belonging.
Through this ethos children thrive and achieve their potential, so they are well prepared and well rounded individuals.

High standards of behaviour are expected and maintained. High levels of attendance contribute to children's learning and social relationships.

We are proud of our broad and balanced curriculum, which encourages high standards and children to excel across a range of subjects. We offer a wide range of extra curricular activities together with regular educational outings and a variety of visitors to our school including theatre in education, artists in school, authors, charities etc. All of whom contribute to the children's spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.

In recent years St Bernard's have received a number of national and international awards including Arts Mark Silver, National Healthy Schools Status, Active School Award, International Schools Award and a Curriculum PE award for early years. Awards such as these not only benefit our children, but also maintain the school's high status within our local community.
