Description The role of Administrative Assistant is a temporary part-time position (3 days per week) to provide support and administrative assistance to the Coordinator, Counselling (2 days) and the Education Officer Sport/PDHPE (1 day)
Position Requirements • Have excellent typing skills (minimum speed of 50 wpm)
• Attend and respond to telephone & email enquiries
• Organise counselling team meeting schedules and documentation (Agenda, Minutes..)
• Manage student counselling files and records
• Manage ordering and cataloguing of counselling resources
• Update calendars, schedule events and send information to Principals and Sport Coordinators
• Upload and update student information on the Meet Manager System and CSSS Sport website. Progress student online nominations
• Check and book venues for Diocesan sports
• Provide direct secretarial support as required
Essential Criteria • Have advanced computer skills (all Microsoft Office programs including Excel) and good working knowledge of Google suite (Gmail, calendar, docs, sites)
• Excellent administration and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and be self-motivated
• Have the ability to organise workload, meet deadlines, work independently and monitor own performance
• Have a high degree of discretion and ability to handle sensitive matters in a professional manner
• Have a high level of confidentiality
• Have demonstrated ability to work as an effective and collaborative member of a team Working With Children number must be recorded on your application

Conditions of EmploymentConditions as per the Catholic Schools Office Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle Employees Enterprise Agreement 2017. This position is at a Grade 3.

The Catholic Schools Office (CSO), is responsible for the leadership, efficient operation and management of systemic schools which educate more than 18,000 students in 45 Primary schools, 10 Secondary schools and one K-12 school in the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.
