Job overview

Whitgift is a leading independent day and boarding school for boys, with approximately 1460 pupils including over one hundred boarding pupils and flexi boarding pupils.  It is set in an attractive 48-acre parkland site in South Croydon enjoying excellent links to London, Surrey and the south coast.  

We are seeking to appoint a highly efficient Administrator & HR Co-ordinator who will provide comprehensive assistance with the day-to-day co-ordination of operational matters and general customer-facing administrative duties relating to the Summer School with a specific focus on the recruitment and administration processes relating to seasonal summer school staff. This individual will work closely with the Course Director, Head of Marketing and other support staff across the school.  A degree of flexibility with summer working hours is essential.  

The role would be suited to someone who has previous experience in HR administration and wants to expand his or her knowledge to encompass international appointments.  Ideally you will have excellent Microsoft Office skills, accuracy, attention to detail and strong administration skills. Personal qualities include professionalism, confidence, the ability to work well under pressure and juggle changing deadlines to meet the needs of the business.  The successful candidate will have good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and also as part of a small but busy team.
