Admissions and Administrative Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to play a key role supporting the admissions process at a vibrant independent school in south London.

The Admissions and Administrative Assistant will provide general administration support and assistance to the Registrar, ensuring an effective, efficient and timely student recruitment, admissions and enrolment process. This is a term time only post plus 20 working days in the holidays.

Their key responsibilities will include: 

  • Supporting the Registrar and admin team in delivering an efficient, professional and welcoming admissions service across both the Prep & Senior School 
  • Dealing professionally and efficiently with telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries to ensure that all applicants receive a positive impression of the school 
  • Writing accurate and appropriate emails and letters at all stages of the admissions process 
  • Helping with the organisation of events such as open days and induction events 
  • Assisting the Registrar in maintaining a comprehensive enquiries database/records system/client relationship management system

Excellent organisation, communication and IT skills and confidence in using Microsoft Word and Excel, including mail-merge, are essential. An ability to form good working relationships with colleagues, parents and the wider community is equally important.
