Aureus School is a brand new, state of the art STEAM specialist comprehensive 11-16 school that opened on the Great Western Park, Didcot, in September 2017. Our mission is simple: we will strive to educate the whole student so that each individual in our community may ‘Grow, Learn and Flourish’. We are looking to expand our team and are seeking an Admissions Officer to start with us in September 2018. (20 hours per week).
Core purpose:
To support the Secondary admissions process with Oxfordshire County Council and in accordance with GLF policies
To support the Primary admissions process with Oxfordshire County Council and in accordance with GLF policies
To support the Nursery admissions process in accordance with GLF policies
To manage any in-year admissions as appropriate and in accordance with GLF policies
Key Accountability:
Prepare schedules and logistics for Open Events throughout the year at the Primary and Secondary School
Prepare and send welcome letters to families when offers are made
Prepare welcome packs for all new families and enter all family information on to the school database (currently SIMS).
Maintain accurate student records in SIMS
Provide support for the transition processes for new students, including booking appointments to visit schools, preparing schedule of appointments, sending out regular email and letter communications
Prepare schedules and logistics for Induction Days for pupils and Induction Evenings for Parents
Prepare and send transition forms to Primary Schools, collate data and cascade to relevant members of staff
Ensure accuracy of current offers/accepted places, maintaining the control spreadsheet, and keeping both SIMS and internal spreadsheets up-to-date
Ensuring CTF files and ATF files are imported and exported accurately and effectively
Deal with day-to-day parent enquiries regarding Admissions to the Nursery, Primary and Secondary School

Welcome to Aureus School, Didcot's only co-educational 11-16 comprehensive school. We opened our £19 million state of the art building in September 2017 in the Great Western Park and have been expanding our team each year.

Our School
We are a growing community and career prospects at Aureus are exciting. We currently have several professional development opportunities taken up by staff at all stages of their careers. Examples of the type of professional development include working towards Lead Practitioner, NPQSL and NPQH status. Subject specific professional development is a high priority and staff are encouraged to look outwards towards best practice.
