We have a fantastic opportunity at our Reading Senior Campus for a part time (0.6FTE), permanent Art Teacher.
Key responsibilities:
- To ensure documented lesson plans are delivered to meet the outcomes as set out in the relevant OneSchool Global UK Art curriculum and the relevant GCSE and A-Level Examination Board specifications
- Support the development of a vibrant Art Programmes for students from KS3-KS4
- The role is central to the efficient and effective teaching of Art using the 50:50 model to inspire and enthuse all students to achieve at the highest levels whilst supporting the development of all learners
- Ensure the Self-Directed Learning philosophy of the school is presented in an age appropriate manner to all students
- To plan, implement and monitor schemes of work, lesson plans and student Self-Directed Learning assignments for Art.
- To develop and fully utilise assignments and tasks centred on the school virtual learning environment (Canvas) including homework, quizzes and discussion forms
- Use a wide range of resources and extracurricular activities to provide students with a broad range of activities and experienced in keeping with the School's guidelines
You will:
- Have experience of teaching Art to a range of classes throughout KS3-KS4
- Have sound knowledge of the National Curriculum for GCSE Art
- Have experience of providing appropriate support for SEN pupils
- Have Qualified Teacher Status and GCSE English and Maths Grade C or above / equivalent
- Have a flexible approach and positive attitude towards work
- Ensure high standards are maintained, progressed and promoted in all areas of work
- Uphold and promulgate the OneSchool Global ethos within all areas of responsibility
