As our school grows we are looking to appoint an outstanding and motivated teacher to be the sole teacher of Art across the school.

The successful applicant would be the sole teacher of Art to students from Reception to Year 9, teaching using the International Early Years Curriculum, the International Primary Curriculum and the International Middle Years Curriculum. Experience of teaching Art is essential, experience of teaching the IMYC would be an advantage.

Class sizes are a maximum of 16 students. The successful candidate would report directly to the Head of Primary School and Head of Middle School.

It would be an advantage if the successful candidate could also teach History to the Middle School students (Years 6-9) or EAL across the school. For this second role they would work under the Head of EAL, liaising with her and the other EAL teachers as necessary.

John F. Kennedy International School  is a small school with a family atmosphere. Student role is approximately 80 in Autumn and Spring and 120 in Winter. Staff at the school take on many roles such as lunchtime supervision, after school activities, accompanying excursions (including overnight), chalet team events and hikes/cycles. In line with all teachers at JFK, the successful applicant would be expected to lead an after school activity of their choosing during either the Autumn or Spring term. Staff know all of the students across the school and are comfortable teaching across the age range. All staff are expected to exhibit the JFK Core Values of Adaptability, Morality, Resilience, Enquiry, Cooperation, Communication, Thoughtfulness and Respect.

Please note that only EU / Swiss nationals applications will be considered due to strict Swiss working permit regulations. The ability to drive a minibus would be an advantage. References will be taken from 2 sources and you must be able to provide evidence of your teaching qualifications.

John F. Kennedy International School is a co-educational English-language boarding and day school for children ages 2.5 to 14, culminating in the Year 9 (Grade 8). The growing student body is made up of around 100 students from over twenty different countries.

Boarding enrolment is limited to 25 students in order to maintain first-rate quality of care in our family-like environment.
