We are looking to appoint  an Aspirations, Careers and Work Experience Lead to provide high quality, independent information enabling our students to make informed realistic decisions about their future learning and employment pathways.

The successful candidate may have previous experience but could also be a graduate candidate who is passionate about changing and shaping the lives for our young people - All training for the role and relevant qualifications will be provided and funded for the right candidate! 

This is a good opportunity for someone who has had experience in education or alternatively no experience but looking to progress and develop the skills and qualifications required to become an effective aspirational leader. 

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Aspirations, Careers and Work Experience Lead who will:

  • Provide a comprehensive Careers advice service for students 11-18 years
  • be passionate and committed to raising the aspirations of our young people. 
  • Arrange Work Experience
  • Liaise with employers
  • Provide support, encouragement and engagement to all students, promoting our high expectations - no excuses ethos at all times. 
  • Ensure staff, students and parents are aware of CEIAG support and availability and lead sessions to raise awareness as appropriate.

About The Bishop of Winchester Academy

The Bishop of Winchester Academy, based in Bournemouth, Dorset, is a Church of England secondary school that prides itself on its curriculum, governance and outstanding student behaviour. Students aged 11-18 experience teaching in new state-of-the-art buildings and have first-class resources at their fingertips. The school operates in an area where there are schools that select for entry on grounds of ability.

The mixed secondary school was opened in September 2010 as a sponsor-led academy. In September 2014, the Bishop of Winchester Academy extended its educational opportunities by opening its own sixth form.
