Joining us as an Assessor in Leadership and Management, you will deliver training, assessment and quality assurance of the college’s work-based learning programmes, in line with the college’s Apprenticeship Strategy, towards the growth of high quality, employer focused provision that maximises the opportunities for learners to achieve and progress into sustained employment. As a highly engaged and motivated assessor, you will have a genuine desire to improve the life chances of our learners. In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you have a minimum of 5 years relevant occupational experience along with experience of dealing with the training needs of learners through a range of methodologies.


We are looking for an enthusiastic, resilient and highly motivated individual with Literacy and Numeracy to at least Level 2, Assessor qualification (A1, TAQA, D32), and Degree or equivalent in a related subject.


You will be experienced and be a strong team player with excellent communication skills.

Tameside College is a coeducational further education establishment. It is situated in the town of Ashton-under-Lyne, in Lancashire. It gives students a range of qualifications to choose from. This includes BTEC, Apprenticeships and degrees. The college also manages and owns Clarendon Sixth Form College, Camp Street, Ashton under Lyne, Lancashire OL6 6DF.

Support from staff helps learners to overcome barriers to learning; learners use of the virtual learning environment (VLE) well to consolidate learning and develop study and research skills.
