ASSESSOR/REVIEWER – FULL-TIME, PART-TIME & VARIABLE HOURS

Hours: Full-time (37 hours), part-time, variable
Full-time and part-time: £25,408 to £29,266 per annum (pro rata for part-time)
Variable hours: £25.25 or £21.92 (dependant on qualifications)
Leeds College of Building is the UK’s only specialist further education construction college. We have an excellent reputation for providing quality education in Construction and the Built Environment and are looking for Assessors to work within our Construction Crafts team in the following areas:
- General Construction Operatives (GCO)
- Painting & Decorating
- Roof Slating & Tiling
You will be required to work with and support candidates and employers to assess and gather evidence to build candidates’ portfolios from Level 2 and up to Level 3 enabling them to meet NVQ and skills standards requirements. Responsibilities also include carrying out candidates’ inductions, enrolment and profiling. You will be required to visit candidates on site in the Yorkshire region and across the UK where necessary; therefore the ability to use your own car is essential.
You should have a relevant qualification to at least Level 3 or Advanced Craft and have recent industry experience. Possession of or willingness to work towards assessor/IQA qualifications together with Level 2 Literacy/Numeracy qualifications i.e. GCSE (A*-C) in English Language and Maths are essential.
