Assistant Bursar

Full time 9am – 5pm, all year

Start Date November 2019

We are looking for an Assistant Bursar, who will work closely with the Bursar and be responsible for the smooth day–to-day running of the School’s Finance Office. 

A large part of the role is the collation of information from various departments within the school, in order to produce accurate fee invoices for parents on a termly basis. Correspondence and dealing with queries from parents will also form part of this role. The successful candidate will be involved in more general accounts functions and manage the accounts assistant.  You will prepare the termly trial balance, reconcile accounts and have a key role in the annual audit.

The successful candidate will have an accountancy background or qualification, be IT literate and ideally have worked within an educational setting in a similar role, although this is not necessary. All staff are expected to contribute to the wider aspects of school life. 

The role is full time with 9am to 5pm hours, and will work all year round, including throughout the school holidays. Salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
