This leading HMC co-educational school seeks to appoint an Assistant Chaplain to join the enthusiastic and professional support team.

The successful candidate will support the work of the Chaplain in providing pastoral care and spiritual guidance to the School community. 

Applicants should be able to relate very well to children, young people and adults. They will need excellent listening skills, an understanding of professional responsibility as well as a willingness, if needed, to help run small discussion groups.  

It is a genuine occupational requirement that the role holder has a strong Christian faith. However he/she will be enthusiastic about working alongside people of different faiths or of no faith at all. It is essential that the role holder is able to fit seamlessly into our diverse, caring, inclusive, intellectual and supportive community. 

The role is available on a part time basis, 3 days per week (averaging 22.5 hours per week), working term time only. 

The salary will be £8,980 per annum.
