Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, practical, hardworking individual to work with our existing site team to ensure that school facilities are kept in an excellent and safe condition and maintained at the highest possible standards for use by pupils, staff and visitors.  Applicants should be able to demonstrate appropriate knowledge and skills relating to buildings maintenance and health and safety requirements in public buildings. 

The Assistant Facilities Manager will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance and basic repairs during the school day and in the absence of the Facilities Manager, monitor major works during school holidays. They will be required to manage the work of contractors on site and monitor services provided externally, such as cleaning and also be responsible for the use of the school facilities out of school hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.  Commitment and attention to detail are required in order to maintain high standards of cleanliness in a busy and crowded environment.  Please refer to the job description and person specification for a more detailed outline of duties.
