We are seeking a part time Assistant Finance Officer to work directly for St Benedict’s Primary School. Working under general supervision, the Assistant Finance Officer will apply a depth of knowledge and a broad range of skills which facilitate support for the ongoing financial management and administration of the school. The employee in this position is required to demonstrate competency in the administrative support to senior leadership; handling financial correspondence; establishing and maintaining working Accounts Payable systems; and have the ability to apply knowledge and skills within a financial context. A major focus of the role is one of attitude and personal attributes. The Assistant Finance Officer is required to possess a helpfulness of spirit, flexibility and excellent team work skills. The successful applicant will have excellent organisational skills including initiative and self-management, as well as the ability to work with limited supervision and guidance. St Benedict's Primary School at Mango Hill has a student population of approximately 680 students. We are a relatively new school which opened in 2008 in the outer northern suburbs of Brisbane (Mango Hill). Weeks Worked:  School term weeks only - holidays unpaid

Tenure Duration (If Fixed Term):  

Total Paid Hours (per wk) & Days Required:   17.5 hours per week required to work across three days each week

Salary Level, Range or Hourly Rate:   Level 4 $29.93 per hour

Employment Conditions:   Diocesan Catholic Education Employing Authorities in Queensland Single Interest Agreement 2015-2019


This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
