Assistant Head of Lower School

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to be involved in developing and leading the academic side of the Lower School at Wycombe Abbey School Nanjing. As a new school in a growing group of Wycombe Abbey Schools in China, our vision is “Every Child Can Excel” which will be the foundation upon which we will build our thriving community. Our key focus areas will be on delivering academic excellence through our dual language curriculum and building a thriving boarding community which offers an extensive holistic education whilst supporting the development of independence and growth for every individual child.

The school will open in August 2021, which will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to shape both the learning spaces and oversee the delivery of the integrated curriculum ensuring that academic excellence remains a pivotal focus within the classroom. Alongside the Head of Lower School, you will play an integral role in setting the standards across the Lower School, alongside developing the processes, systems and policies that are so vital for the smooth operation of a new school. Ideally, we are looking for an experienced professional who has previously taught and/or had experience in developing the Early Years/Kindergarten phase of the school, although we will consider all suitably experienced Primary specialists. Fully qualified teachers who have energy, positive enthusiasm and full commitment to the profession are invited to submit completed application forms.
