We are seeking to recruit an Assistant Head – Pastoral for our Secondary School where current numbers continue to grow; the position is available for January 2018 or April 2018. Experience of international educational practice is a strong advantage. As a relatively young school, we are seeking passionate educators who have a strong desire to work as mentors so as to further develop the very best pedagogical practices in and out of the classroom.

Whilst, compared to many other countries, living costs in Malaysia are very competitive and our package allows for a comfortable standard of living and includes: Flight allowance, Medical Insurance, Children Education Benefit and a cash housing allowance.

Taylor's International School Puchong is part of Taylor’s Education Group, Malaysia’s premier private education group which includes Garden International School, Nexus International School Malaysia, the Australian International School in Malaysia, Nexus International School Singapore, and our sister school, Taylor's International School in Kuala Lumpur, as well as institutions of higher education at Taylor’s College and Taylor’s University.

Taylor's International School Puchong is located in a suburb to the south of Kuala Lumpur.

The School

The school opened in January 2015 in a new award winning campus, and follows the same ethos and direction as the older KL campus.

Currently, there are nearly 1200 students with the majority from Malaysia and others from over 30 different asian nationalities from early years through to year 11. Approximately 10% of teachers in the school are expatriates; with the remainder being Malaysian. The school encourages all its teachers to use current ideas in teaching and learning and has a dedicated CPD programme held throughout the year.

Taylor's International School offers a holistic education, and follows the National Curriculum of England at Key Stages 1, 2 and 3, adapted for Malaysia, and also the IPC in Primary. All students study Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin. The school follows IGCSE courses from CAIE.

The Taylor’s International School brand has a clear ethos by which all schools will deliver holistic education that provides a solid grounding in raising the academic achievement of all students through inquiry processes and active learning. These schools are termed neighbourhood International Curriculum schools, as they offer the “best of east and west” - western curriculum with eastern values.

The school is very active outside of lessons, with many opportunities in sport, debate and public speaking, Music and performance.
