Great Oaks College opened in 2018 for young adults aged 19-25 with special educational needs and is now in the third year of its expansion phase, with the expectation of being at full capacity from September 2021. Great Oaks College is now seeking to appoint an innovative Assistant Head Teacher to lead and develop our Sensory Pathway and take on a class responsibility, teaching two days a week.

We are looking for:

A strong, resilient leader who is professional, reliable and committed to improving the education and outcomes for young adults with special educational needs.  You must be an outstanding practitioner with at least three years’ experience of teaching students with PMLD in a special school, college or supported learning environment. You must possess middle leadership or leadership experience gained within special education. The ideal candidate will be someone who is able to adopt and demonstrate the College’s vision, ethos and values, and is organised and able to support their team to develop their practise to an Outstanding level

Actual pay £49,714 to £54,571 per annum
