Job overview

Following the successful promotion of one of our Assistant Headteachers to a Vice Principal post, we are looking to appoint a highly motivated and ambitious colleague to join our Leadership Team, which currently consists of the Headteacher, one Deputy Headteacher, three Assistant Headteachers and the School Business Manager. 

This is a very exciting opportunity for a well-qualified and suitably experienced leader who is able to demonstrate strategic leadership in student behaviour and inclusion. The core purpose of this position is to lead on behaviour within the school and to ensure that all students, regardless of background or ability, are well supported and able to thrive. This is a significant role for the school, because our expectations of ‘be safe’, ‘be respectful’ and ‘be ready to learn’ are paramount to the everyday learning experience of students at The Burgate. The successful applicant will be an outstanding colleague who can make a considerable contribution as an integral team member helping to shape the future of The Burgate.

Salary

This post will be paid on LDR, points 23 – 31 (currently £52,672 to £58,220). We anticipate a teaching load of approximately one third of a full-time teacher timetable.
