Job overview

We are seeking a strong, inspirational, highly skilled individual who will already be an experienced Behaviour Manager at senior or middle leadership level with a background of outstanding pastoral work.

You will have the skills, energy, drive and ambition to enable students to reach their full potential regardless of their background or barriers to learning.

The successful candidate will be responsible for Behaviour across the school and will lead a strong Pastoral team.

We expect that you will already have some experience of leading behaviour systems and attendance at a middle or senior level and will be looking to take on a more challenging role to really make a difference to the life chances of young people. 

This position will suit a current or aspiring senior leader who has experience as an Assistant Headteacher Head of Year or Head of House and is able to demonstrate and evidence the skills and attributes needed for this role.

We expect the successful candidate to support the Catholic Ethos of the school but do not require them to be a practising Catholic for this particular role. All faiths and none are welcome to apply.

About St John Fisher Catholic High School

St John Fisher Catholic High School is a co-educational voluntary aided school based in Peterborough for students aged 11-18. It is a Roman Catholic school.

The school has a vertical tutoring system, meaning tutor groups consist of a mixture of students from Year 7 to Year 13. There are 32 tutor groups with an average number of 20 to 25 students in each group.

The school’s sports facilities include a floodlit pitch, tennis and netball courts and a sports hall. The school also has a strong tradition in music, both vocal and instrumental, and has several rooms where students can practice.

St John Fisher Catholic High School firmly believes that celebrating students’ achievement motivates them to achieve their potential, both inside and outside the classroom.
