Raglan is a Federation of Raglan Infant School (including nursery) and Raglan Junior School with 900 pupils across the schools. Both schools are Good schools led by a single Headteacher, Leadership Team and Governing Body.
We are looking for an ambitious and effective leader to undertake the role of Assistant Headteacher, which will initially be in Upper Key Stage 2. We have 4 full-time AHTs leading our 4 teams including Early Years (Nursery & Reception), Key Stage 1, Lower Key Stage 2 and Upper Key Stage 2.
The role is part of the School Leadership Team and is non-class based with some teaching responsibilities. The role leads and supports the work of 8 teachers and support staff across Years 5 & 6, including two middle leaders. The role would also contribute to a key area of school development across the federation.
This AHT post is an excellent opportunity for an individual with high expectations, a strong vision of outstanding teaching and learning, and strong self-motivation to demonstrate and develop their leadership skills. It would provide a great springboard for an aspiring Assistant or Deputy Headteacher.
