The Governing Body of Bordesley Green Girls’ School & Sixth Form are seeking to appoint an inspirational, committed and highly motivated Assistant Headteacher – Inclusion and SEND with excellent leadership and management skills to support the Headteacher and staff in “Bringing Girls Greater Success”.

The post holder will be responsible for leading the school’s provision for students with special educational needs and teaching small groups of students across the school.  We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Assistant Headteacher who:

• Has specialist knowledge and experience of the wide range of specific learning difficulties; 

• Holds a specialist qualification such as a post graduate certificate for SENCO or similar qualification equivalent to Level 7 in individual assessments;

• Is familiar with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations regarding the processing of access arrangements for public examinations; 

• Will be willing to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school

• Has the strategic vision to motivate and inspire learning and educational excellence;

• Is committed to welfare and safeguarding;

• Is willing to support every individual to achieve their full potential;

• Will drive continuous improvement, raising progress and attainment; 

• Has excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills;

• Will lead and inspire good behaviour outcomes to enable learning;

• Will foster a positive and effective partnership between students, parents and the community;

• Will work closely with the Headteacher, the SLT, the Governing Body and the Inclusion Team.
