We are seeking to appoint a talented, dedicated and inspirational Assistant Headteacher to our senior leadership team. The role will have responsibility for academic intervention in KS3. This is an exciting opportunity to take a pivotal leadership role in a school that has made rapid improvements over recent years and confidently expects to continue to do so. Having been judged good by Ofsted in March 2013, we were emphatically confirmed as good and still improving in March 2017.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying students who are underachieving and planning suitable interventions. This will involve using data gathered from a variety of sources, as well as close liaison with the heads of Maths, English, Science and the SENCO. In addition, the role will involve leadership of our Pupil Premium Grant plan and budget, as well as line management of the more able and talented coordinator, the EAL coordinator and a curriculum area. This is an exciting new role in our leadership team designed specifically to impact positively on the learning of key students and groups of students, including our disadvantaged white British cohort.
The person appointed to the post will need to be able to demonstrate:
- A deep commitment to securing the best outcomes for all students
- Substantial experience of successfully managing initiatives relevant to the role, as set out in the job description and person specification
If that sounds like you, we would love you to apply and look forward to hearing from you.
