Lealands High School is a comprehensive foundation school on the northern edge of Luton with excellent transport links serving a diverse local population. The school was judged by Ofsted in 2013 to be good with outstanding aspects and this was re-confirmed in our 2017 short inspection.  We benefit from a bright, modern and extremely well equipped building and working environment.  We offer excellent development and training opportunities through our partnerships and links with other schools and universities.

We are seeking an outstanding teacher and leader with a strong proven track record of improving outcomes for students.   You will be a highly effective and flexible leader willing to take on challenges and engage others in supporting improvements.  You will be a dedicated and driven individual with a passion for supporting and developing excellent practice in all areas of school life.  You will also demonstrate excellent attention to detail and be able to see plans through to successful completion.

Ideally, you will have senior leadership or extensive middle leadership experience with the ability and enthusiasm to motivate staff and students.  You should have a proven track record of leading and managing a team to improve student outcomes.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will work collaboratively with other senior leaders and the Headteacher to raise attainment and secure continuous improvement. You will be an excellent role model for staff and students, and contribute positively to the school’s ethos and objectives.

Introduction to Lealands

Lealands High School is located on the northern edge of Luton, in Sundon Park, and caters for students from 11-16 years old. Our facilities, following a £17.5m investment in 2013, are fantastic and I would encourage you to visit and see these for yourself.

Our students achieve excellent outcomes and make good progress in a welcoming, safe and caring environment. This progress is supported by the hard work and commitment of well qualified staff who set high expectations to enable every child to succeed.

Ofsted judged the school to be good with outstanding behaviour, in our most recent inspection, and said, “The school’s motto to “Aspire Believe Achieve” is an accurate reflection of students’ very positive attitudes and performance”.

We passionately believe in the potential of every student and are focused on enabling young people to flourish in an ever demanding world. Our students experience a wide range of engaging, relevant and inspirational learning activities; both in and out of the classroom.

As a school, we strongly believe in partnerships working together in the best interests of all our students. Parents/carers, students, staff, governors, community groups and friends all work together to ensure that the young in our school enjoy the learning journey and achieve exceptional results.
