Lady Lumley’s School is looking for a pastoral assistant headteacher who will also be the designated safeguarding officer and SENDCO. We envisage this post will not carry a teaching commitment. Lady Lumley’s School is a successful, mixed 11-18 comprehensive school with hardworking students and committed, caring staff where every individual really does matter. We have 853 students on roll including 144 in the Sixth Form. We were inspected by Ofsted in February 2016 and judged again to be a good school.
Pickering is a lovely area in which to live and work and we are on the edge of the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors National Park, 30 minutes from both Scarborough and the city of York.
Applications are welcome from experienced teachers with a strong pastoral background and/or existing SENDCOs. We have an excellent programme of continuous professional development and all necessary training will be provided.
