The Academy is at a very exciting stage of its development. To further strengthen our capacity to transform the academic outcomes for all pupils we wish to appoint an Assistant Headteacher to ensure that pupil progress is outstanding. The successful candidate will not only be an excellent teacher, but will be able to demonstrate strong and effective leadership. The purpose of the role aligns directly with our vision of “achievement for all” the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the academic progress of all pupils ensuring every child achieves their potential. This role will be an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team and is an opportunity to be part of a team striving for excellence. 

The key aspects of the role are:

· To have strategic oversight of the academic success of the school

· To drive up standards throughout Long Stratton High School

· To act as a role model for innovation 

· To be directly accountable to the Headteacher and Governors for outcomes

· To ensure the progress of all groups is in-line with the whole cohort,

· To model the highest standards of teaching and learning

· To support the school in achieving outstanding status.
