In what we believe is a UK first, Woodlands School is offering the unique role of improving our young people’s cultural capital.  The successful applicant will work across both the pastoral and teaching & learning teams.  We believe in affording every pupil opportunities both in and beyond the classroom, so that we can produce young people who will go on to make a positive difference to society.

The focus will be on improving even further, the positive attitudes and aspirations of our young people ensuring they are equipped with the skills and attributes necessary for not only academic study, but also success in the working world.  You will affect change in the classroom by being at the forefront of our exciting new ‘Thinking School’ approach which will see cognitive development, engagement, resilience and independence taken to the next level fostering our belief in the importance of creating cohorts of ‘lifelong learners’.  This will involve working with a range of stakeholders, staff and families alike, to break down possible barriers to learning ensuring all pupils are able to take advantage of the excellent academic provisions on offer at Woodlands.

You will be joining a forward thinking and creative team always striving to improve the life chances of our young people.  The successful applicant will be driven by our ethos of Aspiration, Resilience, Opportunity and Excellence.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share in this commitment.
