Job overview

At Lambeth Academy, we live by our school motto to ‘be exceptional’. To achieve this, we need the best staff to bring out the best in every single student. For many of our children, this means equipping them with the knowledge, ambition and skill to attend university and go on to have a meaningful career.

We have a relentless focus on high standards, whether this is on the learning in classrooms, our students’ interactions around the Academy, or in raising their aspirations. We don’t overcomplicate things: teachers teach, and students learn. Anything that takes away from this core focus has to come second. We believe exceptional learning is about determining the simple things that work, doing them well, and doing them all the time. If you’d like to join us on this mission, please come and visit us – we’d be delighted to welcome you.

The role

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic Assistant MIS & Data Manager to support the Cluster MIS, Data & Examinations Manager, principally at The Lambeth Academy. This role will contribute to the strategic planning of the academy and the shaping of the students futures.

About You

You will have excellent communication, numerical and organisational skills. You will also have a strong working knowledge of a range of ICT software including Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, and MIS systems.  Previous similar role within a secondary school/Academy would be a distinct advantage.

The successful candidate will need to be able to work independently as well as part of a team. You will need to be able to work under pressure, have an eye for detail and understand the complex relationship between data and achievement.

You will be enthusiastic about working within a school environment, and supporting the needs of the Academy.

About Lambeth Academy: We are a diverse and vibrant community and are situated close to Clapham Common.  Our vision is to achieve exemplary teaching which develops individual talents and abilities, and which realises the potential in everyone.

We are seeking to appoint committed and hardworking staff who are passionate about making a difference to the lives of our children and young people.

Additional information:  It is important that all applicants complete the full application process.

United Learning

Lambeth Academy is part of United Learning, a large, and growing, group of schools aiming to offer a life changing education to children and young people across England.

Our schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. Our subject specialists, our Group-wide intranet, our own curriculum and our online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resource, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work-life balance.

As a Group, we can reward our staff better: with good career opportunities, better pay, benefits, and ultimately, the satisfaction of helping children to succeed. We invest in our staff wellbeing. Our academies each have at least eight INSET days per year (with three of those solely dedicated to planning), and an ongoing group-wide wellbeing programme. It's an ethos we call ‘the best in everyone’.
