About us:

The Laurus Trust is a new Multi-Academy Trust in the North West of England. Its founder School, Cheadle Hulme High School, has twice been judged Outstanding in all categories by OFSTED in 2011 and 2014. Gorsey Bank, a high performing Primary School in Wilmslow, joined us in October 2016.

The Trust also has five Free Schools in the pre-opening phase, with three of these opening in September 2018. We are also home to the Altius Alliance centre of excellence providing School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT).

Our leaders passionately believe in creating a supportive culture where all our staff can develop and thrive. We actively promote flexible working opportunities. Our staff tell us “It is a privilege to work at CHHS. I feel that our hard work is recognised, valued and appreciated by the leadership team and opportunities to further develop professionally are promoted and encouraged” (Head of Science, CHHS.)

In 2015 our Ofsted report stated:

  • Leaders at every level share a passion for students to succeed and for the school to be a beacon of excellence within the community.
  • Staff at the school are extremely well led.
  • Staff remarked “Not only are the students looked after, so are we.”
