We are seeking an exceptional leader to play an integral role in helping us move to the next stage of our exciting journey as we progress from opening phase to a sustainable UTC who providing outstanding opportunities for young people in Oxfordshire. 

You will join us at a truly exciting stage in the school’s development. Since opening in 2015 the UTC is planning for its 4th year in September with a truly innovative and unique curriculum. The UTC has embarked firmly on the next phase of its development with new subjects introduced and outstanding outcomes and destinations achieved in its short history with aid of valued support and challenge from our partners in the Activate Learning educational Trust.  

The forward-thinking, dynamic and supportive SLT are always seeking to develop their individual and team effectiveness in service of the UTC’s improvement.  

The current post-holder has a wide remit which will require further leadership support as we grow. This role currently encompasses the personal development, behaviour and welfare of our students with responsibility for SEND. We are looking for a candidate to fill this side primarily so we are open to applications from teachers across our subject offering.

UTC Oxfordshire is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form, serving students from the age of 14-19. Situated in Harwell near Didcot the UTC has a maximum capacity of 600 students. It is part of the Active Learning Education Trust and works with industry partners: BMW Mini, UK Atomic Energy Authority, Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), RM Education, Reaction Engines and Bloodhound SSC and Academic Partners: Oxford Brookes University,  Royal Holloway (University of London) and Reading University.

UTC Oxfordshire opened in 2015 and allows for students to specialise in either science or engineering.
