Job overview
It is expected that the successful Assistant Progress Leader will be committed and demonstrate strong emotional intelligence, whilst ensuring a complimentary service to teachers in that they will:
Deliver appropriate support to students, and their families, to ensure that their attitude to learning enables them to achieve their academic targets
• Support behaviour issues within their allocated year group
• Ensure that their year group achieves, if not surpasses, its attendance target
• Provide in class support where necessary
• Provide support and mentoring for vulnerable, challenging and underachieving students in their year group
• To ensure that there is a motivating and stimulating system of rewards that encourages individual student to achieve their academic targets through hard work, full attendance and good behaviour
• Other duties as deemed necessary by the principal
