The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Assistant Site Manager to join the established Site Team.  The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of duties including carrying out first line repairs and maintenance, lettings supervision, site security, porterage, some cleaning and to be a key-holder for out-of-hours emergencies and alarm calls. The ability to work without supervision is essential.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• To line manage the Caretakers and the Cleaners, organise their work and manage the performance of direct line staff.

• Ensuring the implementation and compliance with appropriate Codes of Practice throughout the school in liaison with the Health and Safety Officer.

• To be responsible for the day-to-day management of contractor activity on site.

• Supervising the carrying out of routine procedures and inspections on equipment.

We're looking for you if you have:

• Have experience of caretaking and/or buildings maintenance and security

• Have the ability to manage your own time effectively and demonstrate a flexible, proactive approach

• Experience of Health & Safety procedures and codes of practice

• The ability to carry out first line repairs and maintenance

• Experience of leading a team

Full time - 37 hours, 52 weeks per year on a shift basis. Hours may be variable to suit needs of the job and include a split shift, AM and PM working pattern.
