Job overview

We are looking to recruit a permanent, full time Site Services Operative at our Secondary Phase based on our Bury campus to work in our heavily oversubscribed school. Our wider workforce is highly valued and plays a vital role in the school’s aim to be a centre for learning and achievement for all. 

The purpose of this role is to provide under the supervision of the site manager, an ongoing repair, maintenance and portering service to the school site to ensure a safe and efficient environment. This will include day to day maintenance, repairs and care of fabric, fixtures and fittings of the premises and grounds. As well as opening/securing the school for the schools’ lettings programme and porterage of deliveries and other items. Initial requirements are for weekdays with occasional evenings, and possible weekends or a rota.

Salary scale: £24,115 (Band C)

Hours: 46-50 hours per week x 52 weeks per year

Edmonton County School is a co-educational, non-denominational, community all-through school in Enfield, Middlesex. The school is split across two campuses, with the primary phase located on Bury Street and the secondary facilities on Great Cambridge Road. There are about 1,687 children aged 4-18 on the school roll, 278 of whom attend the sixth form.
